Nice book. Mostly internal medicine. Wish it gives a more comprehensive coverage on ambulatory medicine also. I did not find much on basic surgical topics. I couldn’t find stye or cold sore on the book. Either that, or maybe I just can’t find it.

  4. The Lange CMDT series is worth the money. Nothing in depth, but authoritative and concise. I use this text often in my teaching medical students in China.

This is my favorite book to study from. It gives you the essentials to pretty much any health related problem. Ok, so it’s not Harrison’s book of internal medicine. But it is small enough that I can carry it without getting a hernia.
